Dance Groups at FDF 2015

Congratulations & Good Luck to St. Demetrios Dance Groups at FDF 2015 This is the first year St. Demetrios will have two dance groups performing at FDF! The youth Agape Dancers (at right on Epiphany) will compete this weekend led by directors Christina Joannou, Stella Kalivas and Kerri Brode. They have been practicing diligently both dancing and singing to prepare. This year, Ari Qutami has taken directorship of the tiny dancers of St. Demetrios and Ta Thavmatakia will perform in a showcase at the weekend event for the first time. The dancers are spirited and, as you can see from the picture below left, they are quite charming in their traditional costumes. Thanks to all the dance directors, helpers, dancers and parents of dancers that keep Greek dance a vibrant part of St. Demetrios! And of course, to Fr. Gary who chairs the entire FDF for the Metropolis of San Francisco.
